LOS ANGELES - Loyola Marymount's Women's Tennis doubles duo Eva Marie Voracek and Ulyana Shirokova earned West Coast Conference Doubles Players of the Week honors for second time after amazing performances in their last two matches versus the BYU Cougars and San Diego Toreros.
 
Voracek and Shirokova put on a show once again, winning back-to-back doubles matches to not only continue the Lions win streak in the WCC but also currently on a six-game win streak on court 3. Against the BYU Cougars, the pair defeated the No.3 position, 6-3, returning the next day to roll over the Toreros, 6-1.
 
The pair currently holds a record of 9-3 in doubles play, winning their last six matches with speed and camaraderie. This is their second WCC Weekly Honor in just a three-week span.
 
The Lions are 16-2 on the season, which they only took losses to No. 6 ranked Pepperdine and No. 17 ranked USC, winning nine straight at one point. They are currently on a six-game win streak in the conference as well.
 
The Lions are on the road for their last two conference matches in the regular season ahead of the WCC Championships in Claremont, Calif. Their first stop is to San Francisco, where they will face the Dons on Friday, Apr. 22 at 1:00 p.m. PST, followed by an immediate road trip to Santa Clara, Calif. for a meeting with the Broncos on Saturday, Apr. 23 at 11:00 a.m. PST.
