Jasmine Sofowora earned her first WCC Player of the Week honors after her three-game performance against the BYU Cougars.

Sofowora finished the three-game WCC series versus the Cougars with a .750 avg. after going perfect at the plate in two out of the three games. Â

In game 3, Jasmine exploded on offense going 3 for 3 at the plate, hitting her second home run of her career at LMU. She also scored three runs and provided 2 RBIs from her.

So far this season, Sofowora has .346 avg., while compiling 17 hits, six doubles, two home runs, 16 RBIs, and 14 runs in just 25 games played.

LMU is currently 25-13 on the season. The Lions will continue West Coast Conference play, traveling to Moraga, Calif. next Friday, Apr. 15 for a three-game series with the Saint Mary's Gaels. The first game of the series will be at 2:00 p.m. PST, following a double header on Saturday, Apr. 16 starting at 12:00 p.m. PST.
