CoSIDA Academic All-America Release
AUSTIN, TEX. – Loyola Marymount University Lions defender
Nick Dauchot was tabbed to the 2020-21 Academic All-America Third Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) is was announced.
Dauchot, an All-WCC First Team and All-Academic member, appeared and started in all nine games for the Lions and saw 846 minutes on the pitch. He was instrumental on the defensive end and helped hold opponents to a shot percentage of .024 and 9.2 shots per game. He was also on a defense that only allowed 83 shots, two goals, and posted seven shutouts on the year.
Eight of the 33 members of the Academic All-America Division I men's soccer teams boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The 11 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.85, with the entire men's team holding a collective average GPA of 3.78.
The 2020-21 Academic All-America Men's Soccer Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
