NEW ORLEANS – The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association recognized both the Loyola Marymount University Lions Men's and Women's Track and Field teams with All-Academic Honors, it was announced today. In addition to both teams receiving honors,
Roc Johnson was tabbed by the association as an All-Academic Athlete.

Johnson qualified for the honor having participated in the 3,000m steeplechase at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships Preliminary Round and had a GPA of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
The Lions' men's team garnered the honor with a 3.27 GPA and the women's team with a 3.61 GPA for head coaches
Jason Zarb-Cousin and
Chloe Curtis.Â

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
