LOS ANGELES – Head Coach
Paul Krumpe and his Loyola Marymount University Lions coaching staff was honored with the 2020-21 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Men's West Region Staff of the Year, it was announced today.

Each of the 43 (21 men's and 22 women's) staffs receiving Regional Staff of the Year honors will be recognized at the College Coaches Awards Ceremony, which will be made available to view online as a digital event beginning June 30.

In addition, the Regional Staff of the Year recipients have been placed on the ballot for United Soccer Coaches National Staff of the Year consideration within their respective NCAA division.

The Lions 2020-21Â season produced an undefeated record of 6-0-3, a second-straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament, a ranking as high as seven by the USC, four major West Coast Conference awards in addition to 10 All-WCC recognitions, a MAC Hermann Trophy Semifinalist, and four USC All-West Region First and Second Team members.

Krumpe was recognized by the WCC as it's Coach of the Year, his third at the helm of the Lions program, and added a third conference crown during the 2020-21 campaign in addition to securing his 200th victory as head coach at LMU.

The Lions come off their most successful season since 2013 when they made the NCAA Tournament and look to capitalize on this year's success for multiple seasons in the future.Â
