LOS ANGELES – The Loyola Marymount University Lions (14-25, 7-11 WCC) continue their homestand with a three-game set against West Coast Conference foe Santa Clara this weekend.
The Lions are coming off a pair of midweek games against Oregon State and return to WCC competition when the Broncos visit Page for the first time since 2019.
LMU is looking for their fifth series win in six opportunities against the Broncos and head into the weekend with a three-game winning streak over Santa Clara and six wins in their last ten meetings.
Julian Bury heads into the weekend as the Lions leader in batting average at .345 and his 50 hits on the year is third best in the WCC. His 1.35 hits per game is third best in the conference and he's in the top five amongst the Lions in on base percentage, runs, and RBI.
Another Lion having a solid year at the plate is
Alex Lambeau. He's third on the team in batting average at .252 and is in the Lions top five in slugging percentage, runs, hits, RBI, doubles, homeruns, and total bases.
On the hill, LMU continues to get tremendous production from their bullpen.
Holden Christian continues to be impressive on the bump. His ERA of 0.00 leads the Lions as well as his .080 opponents team batting average. Alongside Christian is
Adam Christopher who's been solid with the ball in his hands. Christopher is in the top five in ERA, opposing team batting average, and games appeared in relief.
