WCC RELEASE | 2020-21 WCC SCHEDULE MATCHUPS | LMU CONFERENCE SCHEDULE
SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference announced its 2020-21 men's basketball conference schedule on Tuesday. The race for the WCC regular season crown will stretch over a nine-week span, featuring 16 conference games. Conference play is slated to begin on Thursday, December 31, 2020 and will conclude on Saturday, February 27.
LMU's 16-game slate is scheduled to begin with a road game at Santa Clara, a team the Lions beat in the Leavey Center in the lone meeting last year, on Jan. 2.
The first scheduled home game will be part of a double header with the LMU women's basketball team, with the men hosting San Francisco on Jan. 9.
The back-end of the schedule keeps the Lions in Los Angeles county for four of the final five conference games, beginning with the first leg of the PCH Cup on Feb. 11. LMU will also host Pacific, BYU, and Portland during that stretch, as well as travel to Malibu. The final regular season game for the LMU senior class will come on Feb. 27 with the Pilots visiting Gersten Pavilion.
This marks year three of the modified WCC men's basketball schedule. The 16-game schedule is the result of changes adopted by the WCC Presidents' Council as part of the Conference's
Men's Basketball Enhancement Plan .
The West Coast Conference plans to celebrate its 13th year in Las Vegas when the 2021 West Coast Conference Basketball Tournaments return to the Orleans Arena from March 4-9.
