With the addition of 19 new players, LMU baseball Head Coach
Nathan Choate has built up a strong class for the 2021 season which includes a combination of high schoolers, junior college transfers, and graduate transfers.

"We are very excited about our incoming class," said Choate. "Coach Asaro did a great job spearheading the effort. Coach Curtis and Coach Erickson both worked tirelessly to help us add depth. It is a very large class in both size and stature. We are excited for these incoming players to join our strong nucleus of returning players. We look forward to starting school and getting back on the field."

Jimmy Galicia | RHP/OF | R/R | El Camino College | El Segundo HS | Hawthorne, CA
Jimmy Galicia appeared in 18 games as one of the team's two aces, making 16 starts and posting a 13-3 record with a 1.92 ERA in 122 innings pitched and four complete games. He finished second in the state with 13 wins leading to several awards and honors, including 2019 All-SCC South Division First Team, 2019 CCCBCA All-State Team, 2019 ABCA Rawlings Pacific Association Southern California All-Region Second Team, 2019/2020 CCCBCA Preseason All-American, 2020 JBB JUCO National Two Way Player of the Year, and 2020 All American.

Julian Bury | OFÂ | L/R | Columbia University | Cedar Cliff HS | Mechanicsburg, PA
Julian Bury was named Ivy League Rookie of the Year, Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American, and First Team All-Ivy League in his first season at Columbia in 2017. He was named Second Team All-Ivy League as junior, and was on-pace again for all-conference recognitions in 2020 with a .355 batting average and .429 OBP before the season was cut short.

Alex Cargin earned a spot on the Coastal Plains League Select Team where he played against Team USA in 2019. His honors and recognitions include, All-County Academic Team selections (2015, 2016), Georgia Dugout Club Top 100 (2016), SoCon Academic Honor Roll (2017), CoSida Google Cloud All-District Team (2019),SoCon Academic All-Conference (2018, 2019), and Northwoods League All Star (2018). He led the Southern Conference in RBI in 2020 before the season was cut short.

Diego Baqueiro is a two-time PG All-Tournament Team selection, both in WWBA and PG World Series, and a back-to-back PG WWBA Champion. He was named a preseason All-American Honorable Mention and is the 79
th ranked player in the state of California.

Diego Barrera earned four wins in 33 innings pitched and 44 strikeouts in 2020. His top outings include an eight-strikeout complete game shutout over El Camino and an 11-strikeout performance over seven innings against Long Beach City College. His honors and recognitions include being named 2018 First Team All-Baseline League, First Team San Gabriel Valley Tribune, First Team Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, Rawlings PG Honorable Mention, and California All-Region Second Team.

Jacob Fried enters LMU as the 45
th ranked player in the state of WA PBR. He earned ECL Rookie of the Year in 2017 and followed that up by leading his team to their first state appearance in 13 years in 2018 and to the first State Championship in school history in 2019 where he was the winning pitcher in the State Championship game. His honors and recognitions include be named 2019 First Team All-League, 2019 All-State, and PNW Baseball Elite Scout Team. In 2019, Fried pitched a perfect game.
