2020 Lions Volleyball Recruiting Class Ranked No. 30 in the Nation

LOS ANGELES – For the second year in a row, the Loyola Marymount University volleyball team's recruiting class has received a top 30 ranking, announced by PrepVolleyball.com this week, as the team has been ranked at No. 30.

"We are excited to add another dynamic recruiting class to our program in 2020," said head coach Aaron Mansfield. "This incoming class has a mix of highly skilled position players, physicality and most importantly, high character individuals who want to become elite and win championships. Assistant coaches Ben Lee and Natalie Morgan have worked tirelessly to bring the right people into our program which is a huge reason why the 2019 and 2020 recruiting classes have been nationally recognized. These classes are the future of the program and the future is bright!"

LMU receives its national recognition after welcoming incoming freshmen, setter Isabella Bareford, outside hitter Kari Geissberger, outside hitter and libero Annabella Pirrotta, right side Ellen Veargason and hitter Isabelle Reffel.

Geissberger comes to LMU as the No. 41 Senior Ace and an AVCA Second Team Under Amour All-American. Along with Geissberger, the Lions boast a talented incoming 2020 class, with all recruits excelling at their positions.

This is the second year in a row that prepvolleyball.com has ranked LMU's recruiting class. Last year, the Lions were ranked No. 23 in the national, the highest ranking in program history.

The 2020 class will be joining a talented Lion squad that went 15-15. LMU will graduate five seniors.
