The Loyola Marymount University Lions baseball team announced the formation of the 1573 Club.Â

The club is designed to build upon the established success of the Lions baseball program. The 1573 ensures the Lions efforts to challenge for conference championships and trips to Omaha annually. George C. Page Stadium sits approximately 1,573 miles away from TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Nebraska site of the College World Series.

"The 1573 Club is designed to help us provide essential resources in the competitive landscape of college athletics. Members donations will go directly towards student-athlete development and experience," said Head Coach

The mission of the 1573 is to identify 35 individuals willing to invest $1,000 a year for the next five years into the LMU Baseball program to provide resources necessary to compete with other BCS programs across the country.Â
Â
What a gift to the 1573 Club will do:
- Recruit the most promising student-athletes year in and year out.
- Provide the coaching staff with necessary resources to maintain a successful program.
- Allow for team travel to nationally ranked opponents aiding with the teams RPI for post-season play.Â
- Augment the nutritionally needs of the program.
- Supply equipment necessary to win championships.
In return:
- Your name will be announced during home baseball games as a member.
- You will receive an official "alternate game" LMU Baseball cap.
- Opportunity to throw out the first pitch at an LMU Baseball home game.
- Quarterly Newsletter/Zoom Happy Hour – "State of the Pride".
