LOS ANGELES, Calif., -- The Loyola Marymount women's tennis team has been selected to participate in the 2020 ITA Kick-Off Weekend, announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association this week. 
 
This will be the second consecutive season where the Lions have made an appearance at the event, which will be held in Los Angeles. LMU will take on conference opponent Gonzaga, while Minnesota will take on UCLA to kick off the weekend. 
 
The Lions swept Florida International University in their first match of the 2019 ITA Kick-Off Weekend, but then fell to No. 8 UCLA in the second round. 
 
LMU ended its season with an 11-10 record, while going 4-5 in conference play. The team made it to the second round of the West Coast Conference Championships, as the team beat Saint Mary's 4-0, but then fell to Pepperdine 4-1 to close out the season.
