Transfer Forward Parker Dortch Added to Incoming Class

LOS ANGELES – Parker Dortch has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the LMU men's basketball team for the 2018-19 season. The Columbus, New Jersey, native played his junior college ball at Kaskaskia College (Centralia, Ill.) and helped lead his team to the NJCAA National Championships.
 
Parker is a versatile forward who stands 6'7 and a lean 205 pounds, and had the third highest scoring average (22.5 points per game) and shot an impressive 64 percent from the three point line in the national tournament. On the season, Parker averaged 15.2 PPG while shooting 57.5% from the field and 47 percent from the three-point line for Kaskaskia. His ability to make
free throws (80 percent) and rebound makes him a tough player to guard.
 
Parker played for Coach Al Ragland at Isaiah Christopher Academy in Atlantic City, NJ and for Coach Brian Hancock at Kaskaskia College. Parker also excels in the classroom boasting a 3.0 GPA at Kaskaskia, and is interested in studying marketing.
