Six Lions posted career bests plus an additional three finished with season bests, marking a two-day total of nine either career or season bests out of 12 runners who touched the track for LMU.
In the 10,000 meters on the women's side senior
Kyla Danforth ran a career best time of 35:26.57 shaving a phenomenal 46 seconds for a personal record as well. Notching another career best for the Lions was senior
Giselle Masedo finishing with a time of 36:04.36 in the 10,000m. Masedo's time was good for a personal record as she was able to cut 1:16 off her previous time in the event.
Competing in the 5,000 meters for LMU, freshman sensation
Grace Catena continued her solid 2019 season on the track with a career best time of 18:05.70. Senior
Ann Kelly ran in the 1,500 meters for the Lions and finished the race with a season best time of 4:44.28.
For the men, making his debut in the 10,000 meters was sophomore
Simeon Paul and he was impressive posting a season best time of 31:37.64 for the Lions in the event. In the 5,000 meters two Lions walked away with career best times. Freshman
Zach Arias continued his solid season collecting a career best time of 14:49.61 in the race. Alongside Arias was redshirt freshman Weston Hart who also posted a career best time in the 5,000m finishing at 15:36.24.
Senior
Koby Pederson was phenomenal on the track for the Lions as he ran a career best time of 3:47.98 in the 1,500 meters. In the men's 3,000 meter steeplechase LMU's
Solomon Demeku-Ousman contributed with a season best time of 9:21.94.
The Lions will next take the track at the Steve Scott Invitational at UC Irvine on April 26
