LOS ANGELES, Calif., -- The Loyola Marymount women's tennis team will take a quick road trip this week to take on Cal State Fullerton (3-2) on Thursday in Fullerton, Calif.
The Lions (2-3) picked up an impressive 4-1 win over Arkansas on Saturday, as the Lions swept the Hogs in singles play. LMU's 2-3 start on the season puts them No. 7 in the West Coast Conference.
Elvira Juravliova and Lillian Gabrielson put up a strong showing in doubles play, as they picked up a quick 6-2 win at the No. 3 spot, but it wasn't enough to take the point.
The Lions will be going into their match against Fullerton with recent singles wins from Juravliova, Gabrielson,
Eva Marie Voracek and
Camila Tumosa. Juravliova is now 2-1 on the season in singles play, while Tumosa is 2-2.
In the Lions' last meeting with the Titans, LMU beat Fullerton 4-3. Doubles play starts at 1:00 p.m. this Thursday February 21.
