Lions Host Point Loma in Exhibition

LOS ANGELES – The Loyola Marymount University women's basketball team will take on Point Loma in a scrimmage in Gersten Pavilion on Saturday afternoon.

The Lions are led by this year's captains senior Cierra Belvin and junior Jasmine Jones. Last season, Belvin led the Lions in steals, totaling 58, while Jones was second on the team in rebounds with 211 on the season and second in points with 407.

LMU heads into the 2019-20 season boasting six freshman including, Esther Oluade, Aspyn Adams, CiCi Ellington, Laura Vaida, Natalia Klimek and Khari Clark. The Lions 2019-20 seniors are Raychel Stanley and Belvin.

The Lions will head into Saturday's exhibition coming off of their first post season appearance in 15 years, as the team made it to the WNIT after going 18-15 on the season.

LMU will take on Point Loma on Saturday at 2:00 PM in Gersten Pavilion.
