Jess Lawson Named Finalist for 2026 Lilly Women’s College All-Star Game

PHOENIX, AZ - Loyola Marymount graduate guard Jess Lawson has been named a finalist for the 2026 Lilly Women's College All-Star Game, recognizing her among the top senior players in women's college basketball this season.

The annual showcase will take place Saturday, April 4 at Global Credit Union Arena on the campus of Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, as part of national championship weekend. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN2 at 11 AM (MT), featuring many of the sport's most accomplished seniors from across the country.

Lawson is one of 107 players named to the finalist list, which includes standout seniors from 75 schools across 19 conferences nationwide. Notably, Lawson is the only player from the West Coast Conference selected as a finalist, highlighting both her individual impact and the historic season put together by LMU women's basketball.

A graduate transfer from Central Michigan, Lawson has been a driving force behind one of the most successful seasons in program history. Her leadership and all-around play helped guide the Lions to the 2026 West Coast Conference Regular Season Championship, marking the program's first outright conference title since the 2003-04 season.

Throughout the year, Lawson has consistently demonstrated her ability to impact the game in multiple ways. Despite standing just 5-foot-7, she has been a force on both ends of the floor as a scorer, rebounder, defender, and playmaker for the Lions.

Her season has featured several standout performances, including a 25-point, 10-rebound outing in LMU's WCC Tournament semifinal against Oregon State. Earlier in the year against the Beavers, Lawson delivered one of the most impressive stat lines of the season with 15 points and 21 rebounds, showcasing her relentless competitiveness and ability to battle against bigger opponents.

As part of the selection process, official game invitations are currently being extended by the event's selection committee, with only 20 roster spots available for the final game. With a limited number of positions, only a select group of finalists will ultimately be invited to participate in the national showcase.

Lawson's selection to the finalist list places her among the most distinguished senior players in the country and adds another accolade to a historic season for LMU women's basketball.

The Lilly Women's College All-Star Game continues a tradition of celebrating the top senior talent in the sport, bringing together elite players from across the country for one final collegiate showcase during championship weekend.
