July 26, 2018 2018 ITA Women's All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes
Based on their academic performance this past year, a pair of LMU women's tennis players have been named 2018 ITA Scholar-Athletes. Senior Anna Romeka joined sophomore Siobhan Anderson on the year-end list.
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1. be a varsity letter winner 2. have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year 3. have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters
Anderson, a native of Sydney, Australia, went 18-10 overall this year in singles, including 9-7 in dual matches at #3 singles. A WCC All-Tournament doubles selection on court two teamed with Romeka, Anderson went 20-9 overall in doubles overall, including 12-6 in dual matches. Romeka, LMU's lone senior on this year's roster, combined with Anderson to go 19-7 overall, including 11-4 in dual matches while playing at the second spot in the order. The duo was 6-2 in WCC matches.
