The #16 LMU beach volleyball team (18-11) posted a pair of victories in Northridge on Thursday, sweeping past CSU Bakersfield (5-12) before defeating CSUN (14-6), 4-1.

McKayla Ferris and Savannah Slattery picked up a pair of three-set victories on court one in the wins, opening Thursday play with a 17-21, 21-17, 15-5 win over Sydney Haynes/Emily Hansen of CSUB. The duo then knocked off Katie Sato/Aeryn Owens (CSUN), 21-12, 18-21, 15-12. Ferris/Slattery have now won three straight decisions.

Sara Kovac and Jessie Prichard, playing on court two, have also won three straight after going 2-0 on Thursday. The duo took down Desiree Sukhov/Sarah Garrow (CSUB), 21-18, 21-17, before posting a 21-9, 21-13 win over Kristy Markle/Nickeisha Williams (CSUN) in the second match of the day.

A pair in the fall, Chloe Reinig and Emma Doud continued their success in their reunion this spring, moving to 3-0 on the year with 24-22, 21-18, and 21-17, 17-21, 15-12 triumphs on court four.

Cierra Simpson and Kristen Castellanos improved to 8-2 overall while playing at #5 in the order, capturing a 21-10, 21-17 win over a pair from CSUB before outlasting CSUN's Nicolette Pinkney/Lauren Conati, 23-21, 21-17.

LMU's Kekai Whitford and Paige Panter managed a pair of victories in the exhibition matches, while Bozena Culo/Maddie Leiphardt split two matches on court three, capturing a win over CSUB before dropping a point to CSUN.

LMU will now conclude the regular season on Sunday, traveling to Long Beach to battle #6 Long Beach State and Utah.
