FULLERTON, Calif. â€" The Loyola Marymount softball team takes on the Judi Garman Classic at Cal State Fullerton this weekend. The Lions currently sit at 7-6-1 on the season and have one five of their last six games. LMU freshman pitcher Linnay Wilson was just named the West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday following her strong play in last week's contests.

The Lions open the tournament against Michigan on Thursday, March 1 at 9:30 a.m. before battling Florida at 2:30 p.m. The Gators are 16-1 so far in 2018 and enter the Judi Garman Classic on an eight-game winning streak.

LMU has one game on Saturday as they take on Cal Poly at 10 a.m., and the Lions wrap up the tournament on Sunday with two games against Stanford (12:30 p.m.) and Fresno State (5 p.m.).
