Senior Keara Reilly won the 1,650 freestyle on Friday as part of the first of two double dual meets against Grand Canyon and Seattle University from Phoenix, Ariz. The Lions would eventually drop decisions to both squads – 136-66 to GCU, and 109-93 to Seattle.

Reilly won the race in 18:18.32, followed a pair of GCU swimmers and two from Seattle U to round out the top-five. She would later take fourth overall in the 500 freestyle (5:26.35), two places behind her teammate Lauren Akin in second at 5:22.37.

Isabel Willis took home second place in the 200 freestyle, touching the wall at 1:55.53. She would return to the water in the 100 freestyle, earning a third-place finish in 53.70. Taylor Anderson followed in fifth place with a time of 54.88. Anderson also found herself in the top-five of the 50 freestyle, claiming fifth overall in 24.28, followed by teammate Serena Myatt in sixth at 25.76.

Audrey Hixon also snuck into the top-five in the 400 IM, registering a time of 4:55.59 to capture fifth.

LMU showed well in the 100 butterfly, taking third (Abby Chopp, 1:00.13), fifth (Christine Chan, 1:00.58) and sixth (Olivia Nielsen, 1:00.95).  Chopp would also earn a fourth-place finish later in the day, turning in a time of 1:01.27 in the 100 backstroke.

Mary Schell turned in LMU's final top-five finish in an individual event, taking fifth in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:13.08.

On the relay front, LMU took second in the 200 medley relay, with Anderson, Chopp, Nielsen and Willis stopping the clock at 1:52.12. The Lions would then claim third in the 400 freestyle relay, as Hixon, Myatt, Natalie Morlock and Akin combined for a time of 3:47.91.

The Lions will swim against the same GCU and Seattle squads tomorrow to conclude a busy weekend of competition.
