Four Lions were honored Thursday when the West Coast Conference released the 2017 Softball All-Academic Team. This is the first All- Academic honors for all four Lions.

Andy Wellins, a senior Communications Major and Television Studies minor, posted a 3.45 GPA earning her first spot on the All-Academic team.

Junior Lindsey Matoi secured her spot on the team with a 3.63 GPA as a Civil Engineer Major.

Brooke Christensen, a junior Psychology major with an Animation minor earned herself a spot on the team with a 3.35 GPA.

Rounding out the Lions was junior Caitlin Harman who earned an honorable mention nod for the first time.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average while also being a significant contributor to her team.
