LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The West Coast Conference Tournament kicks off tonight for the Loyola Marymount women's basketball team. The Lions (14-15, 9-9 WCC) earned the fifth seed and will play the fourth seeded University of San Francisco (17-12, 11-7 WCC).
The game will be played at the Orleans Arena at 8 p.m. and available through the conference's streaming service, TheW.tv, as well as BYUTV. Jesse Kass will be on the call for LMU's home radio station, KXLU 88.9.
San Francisco won both of the matchups this season, and carry a nine-game overall win streak. The two teams have met eight times in the WCC Tournament, with each team earning four wins.
The 2016-17 Lions improved from last year's seventh seed. This year's LMU team went 9-9 in conference play, finishing at a .500 mark for the first time since the 2008-09 season.
The 14 total and nine conference wins are already the most in a single season for LMU since Head Coach Charity Elliott took over the program in 2012.
