With rain scheduled to hit Southern California beginning late Thursday night, LMU's regularly-scheduled season-opening weekend series against #19 UC Santa Barbara, originally intended to be played at UCSB, has been moved to LMU's Page Stadium.

In addition to the location change, the series will also start one day earlier, with a 2 p.m. first pitch slated for Thursday after both teams received an exemption from the NCAA to begin the 2017 campaign a day early.

The Lions and Gauchos will play Thursday before taking Friday off with the expectation that rain will fall throughout the day. The series will continue Saturday at 6 p.m. before concluding with a 1 p.m. game on Sunday. Should Saturday get rained out, the two teams will look to play a Sunday doubleheader with a tentative start time of 10 a.m.

No tickets will be sold to the series, so fans are encouraged to come out to Page Stadium and enjoy three complimentary games to begin the year.
