LOS ANGELES - Following a two-game road trip as part of the Central New York Classic, the LMU men's soccer team will open up a four-game homestand with a pair of non-conference clashes this weekend at Sullivan Field. The Lions will host Florida Gulf Coast on Friday at 7 p.m. before a Labor Day bout with Grand Canyon at 3 p.m.

In its opening game of the year, a penalty kick did the Lions in as they fell, 1-0, to Colgate last Friday.

Clocking In
Mark Dotseth and Cole Souza are the only two members of the Lions who have been on the field every minute so far. The duo logged the most minutes on the team a season ago as Souza played every minute possible (1,626) while Dotseth ranked second with 1,559.
Preseason Predictions
The Lions were predicted to finish fourth in the 2016 West Coast Conference preseason poll, as selected by the leagues eight head coaches.
Junior forward Alvaro Madrigal earned a nod to the preseason All-WCC squad after earning a spot on the All-WCC first team and the NSCAA All-Far West Region third team a season ago. Madrigal led the Lions in goals (8), assists (5) and points (21) during his breakout sophomore season.
