LOS ANGELES - The 2016-17 school year is underway and it is an early three-day weekend. Here is the Labor Day Weekend Edition of our #LIONSTRONGWhat To Watch For (#W2W4) for Sept. 2-4.

#W2W4: SOCCER TAKEOVER

LMU Soccer will take over the action on the weekend with both men's and women's teams taking Sullivan Field in key early season non-conference match-ups. The men will play their home opener under the lights for the first FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS of the season as they host Florida Gulf Coast at 7 pm. Women's soccer will look to build on their 11-game home winning streak when they face Ball State for a special 11 am kickoff on Sunday. Then the men are back at it with a special Labor Day match-up on Monday at 3 pm with Grand Canyon.



It's a Sullivan Field White Out under the lights. Come support the Lions and the Sig Ep Glow Party. First 100 students in attendance get a free ticket to the Glow Party sponsored by Sigma Phi Epsilon. Come out and decorate your Glow Party T-Shirt at the shirt table at Sullivan Field. Then at halftime, watch Sig Ep members compete in a soccer relay race. Following the game, students are invited to the Glow Party afterwards. The Beaumont High School Air Force Jr. ROTC Honor Guard will present the colors.


Help women's soccer extend their streak. The Lions return home on Sunday to face Ball State for an early 11 am start at Sullivan Field. The Lions have been #LIONSTRONG at home, winning 11 straight. They will look to extend the program record Sunday morning. Come out and help the Lions EXTEND THE STREAK.
