The LMU baseball program held its annual Alumni Weekend festivities last weekend, beginning with the fourth annual Texas Hold 'em Poker Tournament on Friday night, and concluding with the annual Alumni Game on Saturday afternoon.
More than 100 members of the Lions athletics family attended the annual Poker Tournament at the Doubletree Hotel, with the winner of the tournament taking home a big screen television. Many more auction items were also won, including an autographed jersey from MLB Hall of Famer Mike Piazza.
The weekend continued on Saturday as former Lions took to the field to compete against the 2016 squad at Page Stadium. It was another great turnout, with many players from the 1986 College World Series team returning to celebrate 30 years since the run to Omaha.
The 2016 season begins on February 19 when the Lions travel to TCU for a three-game series against the Horned Frogs.
