Playing its second match in as many days in Las Vegas, Nev., the LMU men's tennis team (2-4) picked up another victory, this time defeating host UNLV (5-3) by a count of 4-3 on Sunday afternoon.

LMU had to come from behind to claim the doubles point, initially dropping the first match on court one, 6-3. Charles Boyce and Cristobal Rivera drew the Lions even with a 6-4 victory over Alexandr Cozbinov and Richard Solberg, and the duo of Lukas Moenter/Luke Bohuslav sealed the point just a few minutes later, defeating Evaldo Neto/Adam Gage-Brown, 6-3, on court three.

The Rebels proved strong at the top and bottom of singles play, earning the first two decisions on courts one and six, but LMU showed its depth in the middle of the lineup as Rivera defeated Gage-Brown, 7-5, 6-2, to push the match score to 2-2. Smith was next to finish, winning a hard-fought 7-5, 7-6 (7) decision over Cozbinov at court two.

Needing one more point to lock up the match, LMU got the tally from Joat Farah on court six. Farah defeated Solberg, 6-2, 7-5, to clinch the match, ultimately handing LMU its second consecutive victory.

LMU will return to action on March 1 when it travels to Northern Arizona for a match at 1 p.m.
