LMU swimming won the 200 medley relay before placing second in the 200 freestyle relay while competing at the Malibu Invitational on Friday and Saturday. LMU's top relay in the 200 medley took top honors with a time of 1:52.91, while the A relay finished second in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:40.93.
The Lions also took third and fourth in the 200 medley, while LMU made it a 2-3 finish in the 200 free by claiming third as well.
Individually, junior Hannah Calton earned five top-10 finishes over the two-day competition, taking second in the 100 butterfly (58.25), third in the 100 IM (1:01.01), fourth in the 400 IM (4:38.60), and fifth in the 200 backstroke (2:09.48) and 50 butterfly (26.57).
Freshman Alyce-Faye Eichelberger also excelled, earning four top-10 finishes. Eichelberger took third in the 50 backstroke (28.00), fourth in the 100 backstroke (1:00.06), sixth in the 100 IM (1:01.73), and eighth in the 200 backstroke (2:12.11).
A pair of Lions earned a pair of top-10 finishes, as freshman Lanna Kozlowski took home eighth in the 500 freestyle (5:17.74) and ninth in the 400 IM (4:44.03), and Stacy Maier captured 10th in the 50 backstroke (29.21) and 200 backstroke (2:12.98).
Other Lions placing in the top-five were Keara Reilly in the 1650 freestyle (4th, 18:13.87) and Taylor Anderson in the 100 backstroke (5th, 1:01.22).
LMU will return home to host UC Davis in the first head-to-head meet of the year on October 21 at 2 p.m. from the Burns Aquatics Center.
