The LMU swim team (1-6) was scheduled to contest 13 events on Wednesday afternoon from Burns Aquatics Center, but its PCH Cup meet with cross-town rival Pepperdine was stopped short due to rain and lightning after just one event - the 200 medley relay. The Lions and Waves discussed postponing for 30 minutes to see if better weather would prevail, but Pepperdine elected to return to Malibu with seemingly no end in sight.

In the one event that was contested, LMU's relay of Kailee Mora, Amanda Miller, Hannah Calton and Kristen Clarno posted the top time of 1:49.54. Pepperdine followed with the next two finishes, with LMU earning 11 points to the Waves' six in the opening race.

No plans to continue the meet were made at the end of the first race. LMU will return to action on Saturday when they swim against CSU Bakersfield and UC San Diego in San Diego. LMU will return home on January 23 when it hosts a meet against Pacific at 1 p.m.
