WCC Women's Tennis Preseason Poll
The 2016 spring LMU women's tennis season is set to begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Cal State Northridge, and the Lions enter the year sporting a preseason All-WCC player in junior Jessica Perez. Perez was named to the six-person team by WCC coaches as part of the annual preseason poll conducted last week.
Playing exclusively at #1 singles for LMU last year, Perez went 13-16 overall, including 9-14 in dual play en route to being named second team All-West Coast Conference in singles. The highlight of her season came against WCC-rival Pepperdine when she defeated then-#9 Lorraine Guillermo, who went on to be named WCC Player of the Year. Perez went 3-3 in the fall this year, including a victory over USC's Alexandra Letzt at the Jack Kramer Invitational.
