LMU women's tennis coach Jamie Sanchez announced earlier this week that Jaclyn Findlay has committed to LMU and will play for the Lion in the fall of 2015.

Findlay, a native of Vancouver, BC, Canada, has been training in Orange County, Calif. since September of 2012. She is a left-handed player who is very aggressive on the court, with her biggest weapon proving to be her serve. Findlay shows ability in all facets of the game, mixing up the tempo within her points, hitting slices, drop shots and high topspin balls, and coming into the net.

"We are looking forward to Jaclyn joining next year's team," Sanchez said. "She will add additional depth to a very competitive returning squad. Her aggressive style from the left side will be an added strength."

Currently enrolled at Crean Lutheran High School in Irvine, she plays number 1 singles and has posted a 24:3 win loss ratio in high school play, earning her the Most Valuable Player award.

In British Columbia, she was consistently ranked in the top 4-8 players in the province amongst U14 & U16 players. She has also competed in the Canadian National Jr. Championships. This October, Jaclyn reached the semi-finals of doubles in a level five ITF. Not just talented on the court, she is also maintaining a 3.7 GPA.
