April 23, 2015 Box Score
The LMU men's tennis season came to an end on Thursday at the 2015 WCC Championship as the Lions (13-11) dropped a 4-1 match to #52 San Francisco (14-8) at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif.
The Lions split the first two doubles matches, as Charles Boyce and Cristobal Rivera topped James Tallman and Christian Brockstedt, 8-3, at #2 doubles. Unfortunately for the Lions, the decisive third court went in favor of USF as the Dons took the doubles point.
While Boyce was able to help LMU to a doubles victory, he was unable to finish his singles match, eventually retiring to Bernardo Saraiva at #1 singles. LMU did respond quickly in the match as Luke Bohuslav defeated Johan Samuelson in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0, but USF proved too much the rest of the way as the Dons took the next two courts to move on to the next round.
