The 2014-15 LMU women's tennis program volunteered at a USTA Play Day held at the StubHub Center last week as one of 40 events LMU will participate to celebrate 40 years of women's tennis at LMU.
The RAMP Tennis Academy, in conjunction with the Galaxy, put on the combination tennis and soccer clinic. The day featured music with a disc jockey as the attendees moved through different stations learning the sport.
Children in attendance were invited from the local community and had varying levels of experience in the game. The hour and a half clinic welcomed nearly 80 children to the StubHub Center.
RAMP Tennis training programs are open to serve players from every background. From new player to the most experienced, RAMP professional coaches will deliver a systematic development pathway focusing on mechanics, stroke production, patterns of play, fitness, and matchplay readiness. RAMP's tennis facility favors every serious and recreational player looking for a new advantage.
The RAMP Tennis Academy is run by former LMU tennis player Rick Buchta.
