Following a season in which he registered a single-season LMU record for saves with 14, junior JD Busfield has been tabbed a Louisville Slugger third team Preseason All-American by Collegiate Baseball.
Busfield pitched to a 4-2 record and a 1.89 ERA over 27 appearances and 38 innings of work last year. The right-hander managed six of his 14 saves, and all four of his wins, in WCC play.
LMU baseball will open a road-heavy 2016 schedule on February 19 at TCU.
