Former Lion
Eric Farris (2005-07) was recalled by the Milwaukee Brewers from AAA Nashville on September 1. Farris, a standout infielder for the Lions, made his Major League debut on July 28, 2011 for the Brewers.
Farris, a lifetime .289 hitter in the Minor Leagues, has hit .286 with 63 runs scored and 21 doubles this year. Always a threat on the bases, Farris swiped 35 bags this year while also notching a career-high tying seven home runs. His 35 stolen bases are his best mark since swiping 70 in 76 attempts in 2009.
The native of Sacramento, Calif. has appeared in a pair of games for the Brewers, twice entering as a pinch hitter. Farris' most recent appearance came on September 2 of this year against Pittsburgh.
