Stanford Invitational Men's 5000 Results
SF State Distance Carnival Results
SAN FRANCISCO -- The Lions broke school and personal records running in two meets in the Bay Area on Good Friday. Sophomore Drew Dalton set a school record at the Stanford Invitational and several Lions broke personal records at the San Francisco State University Distance Carnival.
Dalton ran a 14:18.86 in the men's 5000-meter race for a fourth place finished at the Stanford Invitational. His time set a new LMU record and established a new personal record for him at that distance.
Junior Michael Carlone broke his personal record in the 3k steeplechase, finishing 15th at the SF State Distance Carnival. Carlone ran a time of 9:48.58, shaving his prior PR by nearly 14 seconds.
In the women's 5000m at the SF State Distance Carnival, senior Cassandra Salazar ran a 17:08.72 for eighth place, a season-best time. Brittnie Munoz finished ninth in 17:09.24, for a new personal record. Brieanna Delaney also broke her personal record running a 17:17.26 to cross the finish line 13th. Junior Caroline Draper finished 15th running a 17:22.26, and establishing a new PR. Kelly Shogren ran her first sub-18, finishing in 17:58.64 and also setting a new personal best.
Senior Oran Arms ran a season-best 4:02.17 to finish 22nd in the 1500-meters at the SF State Distance Carnival.
The Lions return to the track next Friday and Saturday, April 13-14, running in the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational and the RJ/JJK Invitational at UCLA.
