Young Track Runners Gain Experience in Claremont

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Lions sent a small group of runners to participate in Cal/Nevada Track & Field Championships on Saturday to gain some valuable experience.

Freshman Andres Lopez competed in the 3000-meter men's steeplechase finishing with a time of 10:26.86. Sophomore Laura Delgado ran the women's 3000-meter steeplechase in 12:01.77. Also, freshman Derek Weber participated in the 10,000 meters.

LMU Track travels to the Bay Area next weekend to participate in the San Francisco State Distance Carnival Friday, April 6, and the Stanford Invitational April 6th and 7th.
