LOS ANGELES, Calif. - As the 2012 season approaches, we here at LMULions.com would like to introduce you to some of the new baseball players who are entering their first season with the Lions. We have asked all the newcomers a series of questions that range from why they chose LMU to what we would find in their refrigerator at this very moment. This week's question and answer session will feature freshman outfielder, Tanner Donnels.

LMULions.com: What did you do this summer?
Tanner Donnels: Played baseball for the Bombers, went on a cruise with my family, and went on a mission trip to Costa Rica.

LMU: Why did you choose LMU?
TD: I chose LMU because of their baseball program. I know this school has a lot of potential to win. I liked the campus, the business school, and because my dad, mom, and grandpa went here.

LMU: Do you have a nickname? Explain the meaning behind it.
TD: My nickname is TD because of my initials.

LMU: What is your greatest highlight on the field?
TD: Hitting a home run at Los Alamitos two summers ago while playing for Rawlings Elite.

LMU: After LMU, what do you want to do?
TD: Hopefully I am still playing baseball, but if that doesn't work out, then I want to start my own business.

LMU: What is your most embarrassing moment on the field?
TD: Dropping an easy fly ball during a high school game.

LMU: Who is the funniest guy on the team?
TD: Easily I would say Nick Devian.

LMU: Do you have any superstitions?
TD: To have a Chipotle burrito the night before a game.

LMU: Do you have any hidden talents?
TD: I might be the best at FIFA on this team.

LMU: What is your favorite place around LMU?
TD: Iggy's Diner...great breakfast burrito.

LMU: What is your favorite baseball team?
TD: It was the Mets, but now it's the Marlins because of the Jose Reyes deal.

LMU: What is the early favorite for your walk-up song?
TD: Work - Gang Starr.

LMU: What is your favorite movie?
TD: The Sandlot.

LMU: What is your favorite book?
TD: Out of the few books that I've read, I would say Holes.

LMU: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
TD: I would want to teleport so I wouldn't have to walk anywhere.

LMU: If I take a look inside your refrigerator, what would I find?
TD: Vitamin waters and a bunch of juice.

LMU: What is your motto or advice you live by?
TD: Phil 4:13

LMU: Name at least one television show that you watch every week.
TD: South Park.

LMU: What is your most prized possession?
TD: 2006 Blurple Nissan Pathfinder.

LMU: Who is your biggest influence in life?
TD: My dad. He has taught me the meaning of hard work and has always been there for me.
