LOS ANGELES, Calif. - As the 2012 season approaches, we here at LMULions.com would like to introduce you to some of the new baseball players who are entering their first season with the Lions. We have asked all the newcomers a series of questions that range from why they chose LMU to what we would find in their refrigerator at this very moment. LMULions.com: What did you do this summer?
Colin Welmon: Played baseball and went to a few concerts.
LMU: Why did you choose LMU?
CW: Location, coaches and facilities.
LMU: Do you have a nickname? Explain the meaning behind it.
CW: Stack of Dimes. I have a long neck.
LMU: After LMU, what do you want to do?
CW: Keep playing baseball for as long as I can. No plans after that.
LMU: Who is the funniest guy on the team?
CW: Kevin Glomb.
LMU: Do you have any superstitions?
CW: I like to pitch on an empty stomach.
LMU: Do you have any hidden talents?
CW: Ping Pong used to be my hidden talent.
LMU: What is your favorite place around LMU?
CW: Hacienda del Rey on Lincoln.
LMU: What is your favorite baseball team?
CW: The Dodgers.
LMU: What is the early favorite for your walk-up song?
CW: Ten Million Slaves by Otis Taylor

LMU: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
CW: I would freeze time and catch up on some sleep whilst giving my arm more time to rest.

CW: Mandarin orange fruit cups.
LMU: What is your motto or advice you live by?
CW: You get what you settle for.
LMU: Who is your biggest influence in life?
CW: Mom and Dad.
