LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Ten former LMU baseball players have been active in professional baseball this year, including four in the Major Leagues.

Former Lion Spotlight:
Former Lion Angelo Songco (2007-09) has batted .311 over the course of the 2011 season playing for the High-A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. The left-handed power-hitting outfielder has amassed 106 runs scored, 45 doubles, four triples and 28 home runs to the tune of 107 RBI and a .575 slugging percentage. In addition to the solid numbers at the plate, he has swiped four bases while reaching at a .363 clip. Songco is hitting .318 with seven doubles, a triple, three home runs and 14 RBI over his last 10 games. A California League Mid-Season All-Star, Songco hit for the cycle earlier this season on May 25.
