LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The LMU women's volleyball program has announced its 2011 volleyball camps that will be held during the month of July. The Full Day Skills Camp will run July 5-8, while the Overnight Resident Camp runs from July 11-14.
The Full Day Skills Camp, scheduled for July 5-8, is intended for volleyball players between the ages of eight and 15, and is part of the LMU Summer Camps program. The cost for the camp is $325. Campers will be playing indoors at Gersten Pavilion and Burns Recreation center. The campus of Loyola Marymount University is the ideal setting for a rewarding volleyball camp experience. LMU's outstanding and highly-qualified NCAA Division I coaching staff, along with student-athletes from the women's volleyball team, are gearing up for another fun and successful camp season. The LMU staff is committed to challenging each camper and teaching her proper skills and fundamentals, as well as enhancing her knowledge and enjoyment of the game. Emphasis will be on hitting, defense, blocking, serving, game situations, setting, team play and passing. Our Full Day Skills Camp has something to offer for everyone involved.
LMU's Overnight Camp, scheduled for July 11-14, targets athletes between the ages of 12 and 18, and offers a residential stay in which housing is provided, in addition to a commuter option. This camp is intended for athletes who are looking to play at the next level. The cost for the overnight stay is $499, while the commuter rate is $425. The Overnight Camp features personal instruction from the LMU coaching staff and current LMU players, a camp T-shirt, emphasis on fundamental skill mastery, and a player-to-coach ratio of 10-1.
