LOS ANGELES, Calif. - As the 2012 season approaches, we here at LMULions.com would like to introduce you to some of the new baseball players who are entering their first season with the Lions. We have asked all the newcomers a series of questions that range from why they chose LMU to what we would find in their refrigerator at this very moment. This week's question and answer session will feature freshman catcher, Chris Barnett.

LMULions.com: What did you do this summer?
Chris Barnett: I played with Elite Baseball, went to the beach, and hung out with friends before they all left for school.

LMU: Why did you choose LMU?
CB: I felt that LMU would give me the tools necessary for a successful and enjoyable future.

LMU: Do you have a nickname? Explain the meaning behind it.
CB: I was given the nickname Barney because of my last name.

LMU: What is your greatest highlight on the field?
CB: Winning the League Championship my junior year.

LMU: After LMU, what do you want to do?
CB: I want to get a steady job and travel the world someday.

LMU: What is your most embarrassing moment on the field?
CB: Getting "cup checked" is never fun.

LMU: Who is the funniest guy on the team?
CB: Kevin Glomb and Nick Devian

LMU: Do you have any superstitions?
CB: I have to eat a big dinner the night before a game.

LMU: Do you have any hidden talents?
CB: Nope. I am a pretty ordinary guy.

LMU: What is your favorite place around LMU?
CB: The baseball field and cages.

LMU: What is your favorite baseball team?
CB: Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

LMU: What is the early favorite for your walk-up song?
CB: Electric Avenue.

LMU: What is your favorite movie?
CB: Dude, Where's My Car?

LMU: What is your favorite book?
CB: Holes.

LMU: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
CB: The ability to fly because I could go wherever I wanted, whenever I wanted.

LMU: If I take a look inside your refrigerator, what would I find?
CB: Apples, mango juice, soy sauce and Tapatio.

LMU: What is your motto or advice you live by?
CB: Another day, another dollar.

LMU: Name at least one television show that you watch every week.
CB: ESPN
