LOS ANGELES, Calif. - In the spirit of Halloween, the LMU baseball team, including the coaching staff, donned a different form of garb on Friday, October 29, trading in their practice uniforms for costumes during a practice and intrasquad game.

Costumes ranged from a trio of Gumby characters, including one worn by head coach Jason Gill, to Mr. Mertle, the owner of "The Beast" in the movie The Sandlot, to a number of Luchadores. In addition to the fun on the field, the team also brought the spirit into the crowd, passing out candy to those spectators in attendance.

The Lions begin the 2011 season on February 18 at home versus UC Riverside.
