SEASIDE, Calif. - After two rounds LMU men's golf currently stands in 5th place in a field of 16 teams going into the final round, Tuesday. The Lions shot a team total of 593 after two round.
All five Lions shot both rounds with individual scores under 80. Leading the pack is junior Jake Sarnoff who currently stands in a tie for 11th place overall after shooting 2 over par in the first round and 1 over par in the second round. Behind Sarnoff is freshman Tyler Torano, currently in a tie for 23rd after shooting 77 and 72 respectively after two rounds. Sophomores Bryan Bergna and Eduardo Chavez are currently in a tie for 29th and senior John Lim closes it out in a tie for 46th place after day one.
LMU remains in the top five going into day two behind first place Notre Dame, followed by host, St. Mary's, Santa Clara, and University of the Pacific. The Lions are 4 strokes behind University of the Pacific and remain 4 strokes ahead of 6th place Miami of Ohio.
Day 2 tees off tomorrow at 8:30am at the Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside, California
