What was your favorite moment from seeing Barcelona?
Just the fact that we pretty much met all of the players when they were at LMU practicing. Some of us attended their game at the Coliseum and also watched it on television. It was pretty cool to say we've met them.
What was the funniest moment?
When the players were speaking different languages to each other and making jokes with one another while practicing to keep the training session and environment 'fun' to play in.
Did you (or your teammates) talk to any of the players? What did you talk about?
Diego Souza had the chance to talk to Ronaldinho in Portugeuse which was really sweet. It was harder to talk to others because they knew little english but I talked to Mark Van Bommel about basketball and the NBA and who his favorite players were.
Did you see any similarities between your practice and their practice? Did they do any similar drills to the drills that your team does in practice?
Yeah they did similar warm ups, keep away, and finishing drills that we do in our training sessions as well.
Describe your thoughts when you first saw the team.
I really didn't know what to expect... I knew that most of the team would be there but not ALL of them... including the star players. With the World Cup this summer it was awesome to see some of the stars from the World Cup and meet them personally.
How do you think this experience will help LMU soccer this season and in the future?
It just shows that these guys are still having fun playing soccer. Yeah, they are getting millions of dollars but I guess that could provide motivation for LMU soccer in the future.
Was it what you expected?
It was more than I expected. I did not know that most of them would be so approachable and laid back, especially Ronaldinho and Messi.
