Los Angeles, Calif. - Loyola Marymount begins a big week of tennis this week, hosting five matches in eight days at the LMU Tennis Center. The Lions (0-4, 0-1 WCC) are coming off a strong effort against 16th-ranked Pepperdine, but have not played since that February 23 match-up.

LMU will try to use that time off to get them through this week of five home matches, beginning with Claremont on Saturday, March 05 at 2:30 p.m. The Stags are ranked sixth in Division III and enter the contest with a record of 5-6 and 3-0 in conference play. Claremont will play a match at home Saturday morning before traveling to face the Lions in the afternoon.

The Lions will then battle Boston University (0- 0) Monday and the University of Pennsylvania (4-1, 0- 0) Tuesday in back-to-back match-ups. LMU will return to the courts Thursday for West Coast Conference action against Gonzaga (1-5, 0-1) before wrapping up the homestand against Yale (2-4, 0-0) next Saturday.

Sophomore Nico Terrien is coming off a big win against No. 16 Pepperdine, where he defeated the 2004 WCC Player of the Year Pedro Rico to set the new LMU record for highest-ranked win. Rico, who had been ranked as eighth in the nation this season, was ranked 24th when Terrien defeated him 3-6, 6-4, 12-10.
