Los Angeles, Calif. - After sweeping the doubles point to start the match, Loyola Marymount women's tennis (7-11, 3-2 WCC) fell to Brown (7-4) Wednesday afternoon at the LMU Tennis Center.
Serena Fermin and Erin Ivey picked up singles wins for the Lions, but it was not enough, as Brown took the four of six singles matches it needed to secure the dual win. Ivey's singles win marked her 11th win in her last 12 matches.
"Today's result was disappointing because we were not mentally ready to play," LMU Head Coach Jamie Sanchez said.
The Lions will look to rebound on Saturday at UC Santa Barbara.
