Briefly...
After spending Spring Break on the road in Las Vegas and Spokane, LMU baseball returns home Tuesday to host crosstown foe USC. The Trojans bring a record of 14-8 to Page Stadium, and a national ranking as high as 15th this season. The Lions and Trojans will face off at 2:00 p.m., with all of the action on the Lions' Audio Network and Gametracker at www.LMULions.com.

Weekend Update...
The Lions dropped two at Gonzaga in West Coast Conference action before Saturday's game three was rained out. The conference has not yet determined whether the game will be rescheduled and will most likely wait to see if the game would affect final standings.

Vegas Win Starts Spring Break...
Freshman Sean Dovel broke open a 6-6 tie game in the top of the ninth with an RBI single through the left side that drove in senior Matt White from third to give LMU baseball the 7-6 win over UNLV on a rainy Tuesday night last week. The Lions led by as many as four, but UNLV chipped away throughout the four-hour plus game to force the late-game Lion heroics.

Scouting USC...
The Trojans opened Pac-10 play last weekend hosting Arizona State and dropped two of three games to the Sun Devils. USC had entered the week ranked 21st and 23rd in the major national polls, but has dropped out after the conference series loss. February 21 saw the Trojans receive their highest ranking this season- the 15th spot in Collegiate Baseball's poll.

The LMU-USC All-Time Series...
USC leads the all-time series with the Lions 33-15, but LMU won the last meeting between the two programs 11-7 at Page Stadium on April 20, 2004. While the recent series trend has been for the home team to win to split the season series, the Lions swept in 2001 and the Trojans took it in 2003.
