Men's Soccer Match-up Set

Los Angeles, CA (Nov. 22) -- The second round of the 2003 NCAA Men's Soccer College Cup has been set for Loyola Marymount University as they will host Santa Clara University on the campus of LMU Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m.

Santa Clara defeated SMU in the first round on Friday night thanks to a 4-1 edge in penalty kicks after the teams tied at 1-1 after two overtimes. The Lions defeated Santa Clara to close the regular season, 3-0, just one week ago.

The second round will be played at Sullivan Field and tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students/children (under 12)/seniors. The winner will advance to the quarterfinals and will play the winner of North Carolina/Coastal Carolina, which will also be played on Nov. 26 at Chapel Hill.

The Lions earned the 13th-seed in this year's tournament and North Carolina was the number three seed. Santa Clara won the West Coast Conference with a 5-1 record. LMU finished 3-3 in the WCC with seven players earning All-WCC honors.
