Los Angeles, CA., -- The 11th ranked LMU men's water polo team keeps adding to what looks to be one of the best years of men's water polo at LMU, as they take the game from BYU-Hawaii.

This game was originally scheduled for last Wednesday at LMU's Aquatics Complex, however both teams decided it was best to postpone the game in light of our nation's tragic events. LMU came out strong in the first quarter outscoring the Seasiders 6-2. Freshman utility player Stephen Lipinski was LMU's go-to man for the match, as he scored three goal off of six attempts. Kris Barr also had a great game, as he found the back of the net three times. Scott Smith was also successful with three goal of his own, over the third and fourth quarters. Sean Wimer came out strong in the fourth quater scoring two Lion goals. Kyle Witt led the Lion's assists with three. The Lion's record now stands at 4-1.

BYU-Hawaii was fairly quiet in the first half of the game, as they went into halftime with only two goals. Vanja Kalabic was the leading scorer for the seasiders as he scored two goals off of two attempts. The five other goals each came from separate players. The Seasider's record now reads 3-5.

The Lions stay home for this weekend, as they host both Occidental and the defending National Champions UCLA. They face the Bruins at the Burns Recreation Center Pool at 12:00 noon, and Occidental follows at 2:00 p.m.
